Things that make you go Hmmm

Ok, I haven't been paying too much attention recently to my mail. I belong to a newsgroup which I prefer to receive each message individually so that if I feel like responding, I don't have to cut & paste from the digest. This is a list about knitting and has many members - in the past 2 weeks I've gotten 519 messages, and since I just reinstalled everything on my computer, I haven't had a chance to create folders or be bothered setting up filters. Ok, if you're so into church, why can't you spell pagan? False Idols? And if you don't purchase things made from yarn, what the hell ARE you wearing? Ha! I got a kick out of that one.

In non-knitting news, the crew showed up today to rip off our roof and start putting a new one on. One of the guys looked really familiar, but with a tshirt wrapped around his head like a turban, who knew! I told my mom, she said she thought she heard someone calling Sean, and then it hit me - he is an old friend of mine from elementary - high school, Anne's fiancee. He must do this in the summer, because I could have sworn he was a teacher.

Today I went into work for a couple hours of easy overtime. The calls are easy and the people haven't had a chance to get really pissed off before 9am. You can't call a store to check on anything because they don't open until after 9, some of the other depts don't open up until later, so it's pretty easy stuff. I'm finally starting to get into a groove. I missed one of my scores by 0.9% for last month - that was depressing... but I only made it by 0.1% last month, so it's not like a big change in the past 2 months. Working these few easy days of OT should help boost me up so that I can make it this month.
