Treading Water
I got my new phone yesterday. I had to hop out of the shower and throw on clothes to answer the door, thinking it was the guy who bought my brother's car coming to pick it up, but instead, it was the fedex guy with my new poppy-uppy phone. I love it! I have unlimited txt messaging and a web browser that works! I downloaded ringtones and wallpapers for it last night and checked out some of the features and added my contacts to the new phone. I went with a low minute package, so I need to do as much of my customizing after 9pm or on weekends, but that's ok. Last month I used a whopping 15 minutes! With all the gadget excitement, I haven't had a chance for any fiber work. And tonight I plan to come home and go straight to bed. I have to get up at 5 or 5:30am, leave my house by 6am and start working at 7am. When I get home tomorrow I'll probably be too beat to do anything, so luckily dh has Sunday off and doesn't have to be to work until 2 on Monday (although he will have to get up and take care of the kids around 8am so my mom can go to the hospital). Since I'm financially busted, I may stay at the office today and work on the Pie Are Square shawl some more. I started another one with the tonal boucle from Joann's, but I got the stitch count off somewhere in the first few rows, so I'll probably start that over again. I'm starting to think about doing a sampler knit afghan with the Manos. I can work it one square at a time and make it patchwork with a lot of different colors. Only thing - how does one wash a wool afghan???
